- To help educate those interested in pursuing a martial art.
- To help keep martial art students from being ripped-off by unscrupulous "masters."
- To help those already training in the martial arts to better their martial art skills.
- To stimulate thought about various subjects related to the martial arts.
- To provide instructors with information to use in their school student booklets and guides.
- To provide information to help explain the martial arts to the uninformed.
