School ownership is the goal of many martial art instructors. Schools are businesses and they must be operated as businesses. A good instructor will not necessarily make a good school owner. A good school owner does not have to be a good instructor as long as the owner employs good instructors. However, no matter the quality of instruction offered, if a school owner is not a good business person, the school will fail.
